Hand-Painted Wall Signs for a New Belfast Coffee Shop

Right in the heart of Belfast, on the busy Ann Street, Bob & Berts opened a new coffee shop—and they wanted the space to feel full of energy, character, and hand-crafted charm. That’s where we came in.

Signwriting for a new Bob & Berts Coffee Shop in the heart of Belfast

In the lead-up to their grand opening, we spent over a week on-site alongside Mick, a fellow signwriter from England, transforming the two-floor venue with bold, distressed wall graphics. From hand-painted logos to coffee-themed quotes and custom designs, every piece was painted directly onto the walls—no prints, no stickers, just pure brushwork and intention.

What made this job special was the sheer scale and detail. We covered massive wall spaces, adding layer after layer to achieve a perfectly imperfect distressed look. The goal was clear: create the feel of ink-stamped graphics—slightly worn, beautifully raw, and full of soul. It was about embracing texture and letting the handmade nature of the work shine through.

This was not a clean-and-crisp, polished finish—it was bold, gritty, and real. Exactly what Bob & Berts needed to reflect their personality and stand out on a street packed with competition.

Whether it’s a brand-new venue or a refresh of a well-loved space, we bring a commitment to craftsmanship, creative problem-solving, and collaborative work. If you’re looking for impactful, large-scale hand-painted signs that feel alive and authentic, let’s chat.
